It’s the only fresh air market in the area that stipulates that vendors grow or make the items offered. Expect to see locally grown and organic vegetables, fruit, honey, beeswax products, baked goods, fresh cut flowers and more. This year the market will be open for an extended season, May 17 to September 27. A typical Saturday includes over 20 vendors, live music, activities for kids. It’s open from 9a.m. to 1p.m. at the corner of Wayne and Barr Streets. Free parking is available at the History Center parking lot at 302 West Berry Street. Admission to the History Center is free on Saturdays during market hours. For more on the market, visit BarrStreetMarket.org
The Barr Street Market is managed by Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (YLNI) and implemented by volunteers. YLNI is a small tax exempt organization whose fiscal partner is the Fort Wayne Chamber Foundation.
