WARSAW, Ind. (WANE)  Two Kosciusko County residents were arrested last Friday at the Comfort Inn in Warsaw after police found an active meth lab in the room they were staying in.

Warsaw police were called to the hotel after staffers couldn’t get into a room where the occupants should have checked out of.  Officers found the safety lock on the door and could open it just enough to see a man sleeping on the bed.  They finally were able to wake him up and he opened the door.

Once inside, officers found a one-pot methamphetamine lab and related equipment.

A woman was also inside the room.

Richard D. Cain, 33, of Warsaw was taken into custody and charged with dealing, delivering or manufacturing methamphetamine.

Courtney C. Bowling, 24, of North Webster was also taken into custody and booked on a charge of possession of over three grams of methamphetamine.

Police also determined the two had been driving a vehicle with stolen license plates.
