Homestead’s Swanigan Reclassifies For 2015

Caleb Swanigan

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Homestead’s Caleb Swanigan will be hitting the college hardwood a little sooner than originally anticipated.

Swanigan has reclassified for the class of 2015, meaning he will be a high school senior this coming fall. Swanigan is finishing his sophomore year at Homestead high school. He will have to earn a number of high school credits over the summer.

Per his twitter account:

“I have reclassified to the 2015 class a lot of extra school work but definitely worth it.”

The move will allow Swanigan to arrive on a college campus a year earlier. He holds scholarship offers from a number of schools, including Michigan State, Indiana, UCLA, and Louisville.

Previously, websites ranked Swanigan as one of the top 20 players in the class of 2016. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
