FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Homestead’s Caleb Swanigan will be hitting the college hardwood a little sooner than originally anticipated.
Swanigan has reclassified for the class of 2015, meaning he will be a high school senior this coming fall. Swanigan is finishing his sophomore year at Homestead high school. He will have to earn a number of high school credits over the summer.
Per his twitter account:
“I have reclassified to the 2015 class a lot of extra school work but definitely worth it.”
The move will allow Swanigan to arrive on a college campus a year earlier. He holds scholarship offers from a number of schools, including Michigan State, Indiana, UCLA, and Louisville.
Previously, websites ranked Swanigan as one of the top 20 players in the class of 2016.
