FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A traveling exhibit is stopping by the Summit City in hopes of helping children find a forever home.
The Indiana Heart Gallery showcases portraits of Hoosier children in need of adoptive families. It’s sponsored by the state Department of Child Services. Last year, more than 1,300 foster kids were adopted with help from the gallery.
“These are real kids who have real feelings who really want love and they want to be part of a family. So, the pictures really epitomize and show who they are and that they love people and they want to be part of a family,” said Mark Pospisio, a pastor at Brookside Church.
The free gallery will be at Brookside Church until May 21st. It’s open Monday through Friday from 8 A.M to 10 P.M., and Sundays from 8 to 2.
