NOBLE CO., Ind. (WANE)- Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an off-road vehicle accident that happened east of Mirror Lake.

Jeffery Gallup, 39, of Wolcottville was driving an off-road vehicle before 10 p.m. Friday night in the 3900 block of CR 1150 N in Noble County, according to investigators.

The machine overturned, causing Gallup to fall off of it. Officers said he wasn’t wearing a helmet or safety equipment at the time.

Gallup was airlifted by Samaritan to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne with head and internal injuries.

Investigators said the accident is still under investigation, but alcohol is believed to be a factor.
