FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Notre Dame’s Stephon Tuitt, Troy Niklas, Louis Nix, and Chris Watt all joined former Irish teammate Zack Martin as official NFL players on Friday night as each was selected on the second night of the draft.
Tuitt went in the second round with the 46th overall pick. The defensive end was selected by the Steelers.
Nicklas, a tight end, went 52nd overall to the Arizona Cardinals. He’ll suit up alongside former ND teammate Michael Floyd in Bruce Arians’ offense.
Nix, a defensive tackle, slid all the way to the third round. Projected by some experts as a late first round talent, Nix was selected 83rd overall by the Houston Texans.
Watt, an offensive lineman, was picked 89th overall by the Chargers.
