Four Carroll Seniors Sign For College

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Four Carroll high school seniors signed to play college sports on Thursday afternoon.

Bret Unger will cross country at IPFW. He is a three-time all-NHC pick (1st team in 2013, 2nd in 2012 & 2011). He was a member of the 2012 state runner-up cross country team.

Kurt Unger will also run cross country at IPFW. He was a member of the 2012 state runner-up cross country team and was first team academic all-state in 2013.

Tristan Wilson will continue his wrestling career at Manchester University. Tristan is a three time letter winner for the Carroll Chargers wrestling team and tied a school record this past season with 46 wins in his senior year. Tristan is also a two time sectional champion, with a regional and conference title added to his collection in 2014. He placed 6th at the state tournament at 170 lbs.

Alex Arney will continue is wrestling career at Manchester University, where he will study business or education. Alex was a three time letter winner and completed a great senior season with a sectional and regional title. He finished his career as an all-state 145 lbs. wrestler with a trip to Bankers Life in February.
