Woman cuts fiancé, steals jewelry after he refuses to give her money

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A Fort Wayne woman is facing charges after she slapped, cut, and stole jewelry from her fiancé.

Lisa Ionni had been living with the man for six to eight weeks.  Police say when the man got home from work Ionni asked him for money.  When he told her he wasn’t going to give her any money, Ionni slapped him in the face, picked up a knife, and cut his right hand.  The man got the knife away from Ionni.  She then went to their bedroom and took his wooden jewelry box.  Inside was a couple of gold bands and miscellaneous coins and jewelry.

Ionni faces charges for theft, criminal recklessness, and domestic battery.

She has previously been convicted of forgery, receiving stolen property, operating while intoxicated, and prostitution.
