FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A restaurant promising local, in-season ingredients will be open for business in downtown Fort Wayne on May 8.
Mockingbird Kitchens will open at 236 E. Wayne Street, inside cottage flowers. The restaurant will feature bread from Zinnia’s on East State Boulevard and, according to the press release, it will strive to have the freshest product possible with the best ingredients as part of supporting a “Sustainable Fort Wayne.”
The restaurant will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday. It is not open on weekends.

MUFFULETTA – $8 – Salami, pepperoni, mortadella, Swiss cheese, house-made olive salad, pressed on a sub bun.
ROASTED BEET SANDWICH – $7 – Roasted beets, herbed citrus goat cheese, pickled red onion, arugula, balsamic reduction on herbed focaccia.
SHRIMP COBB (salad) – $9.50 – Chilled herbed shrimp, corn, hard-boiled egg, cherry tomato, and avocado on mixed greens, your choice of dressing.
GRAVLAX (salad) – $11 – Cured salmon served with mixed greens, olive salad, hard-boiled egg, dill- shallot cream, and toast.
