LOS ANGELES (WANE)  Former NFL Player James Hardy III, who graduated from Elmhurst in Fort Wayne, was arrested after attacking multiple police officers, according to TMZ Sports.

Hardy was the second round draft pick out of Indiana University in 2008. He played for the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens.

According to TMZ, police were called to an L.A. apartment complex around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. CBS Los Angeles reports that police were responding to a disturbing the peace call.

TMZ writes that Hardy became aggressive and attacked the officers. A TASER was apparently not enough to subdue the 6’6″ tall former wide receiver. Several officers were eventually able to take him into custody.

TMZ reports that he is facing a charge of felony obstruction of justice.
