FORT WAYNE, IN. – In a must-win game for both Fort Wayne and Bowling Green, it was the hosts that jumped off to a scintillating start to the game, as the Flite went out on a 25-2 run to end the first half, and led by as many as 31 points in the third quarter. Despite the Hornets rally towards the end of the game, where they cut the deficit to just 8 points with under 3 minutes to play, Fort Wayne (6-4) held on to a 114-101 victory. James Humphrey, the 6-7 forward from University of Missouri-Kansas City, who also missed last week’s matchup against Bowling Green, scored 35 points, coupled with 26 points from guard Antonio Cannon, to help clinch a playoff berth for the Fort Wayne Flite. With the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, out of the NBA D-League, winning the 2014 Championship last week, the Flite are looking to bring yet another title to the city of Fort Wayne this year. For Bowling Green (5-5), the loss now means they will need help from other teams next weekend in order to obtain a playoff berth, as they missed a great opportunity to clinch a spot today in Indiana.
