USF senior earns rare honor twice

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) –  Many people work hard to graduate at the top of their class – but very few graduate at the top of two classes. A University of Saint Francis senior did just that.

Sarah Morton is the valedictorian of the school of arts and sciences as well as the school of creative arts. She is a double major in music technology and sociology. Morton offered some advice today on how she accomplished this impressive feat.

“It just takes a lot of hard work and time management. It’s really not rocket science. You just have to show up to your classes and try to get all of your assignments done and just really enjoy what you’re doing because I think that’s an important part of it,” said Morton.

Morton is heading to Washington State where she plans to get a PhD in sociology. It probably comes as no surprise that she’s earned a full ride to the school.
