FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Baseball came to a wet halt for 18 minutes on Wednesday afternoon at Parkfield Field.

During the top of the fifth inning Great Lakes Loons batter Joey Curletta hit a shallow pop up into foul territory near right field. TinCaps first baseman Fernando Perez gave chase near the TinCaps bullpen and appeared to catch a spigot with his cleats. The spigot immediately shot water 20 feet in the air, creating a geyser-like distraction that halted the game for nearly 20 minutes.

The TinCaps wound up losing 15-6. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion. In order to comment, you acknowledge you have read and agreed to our Terms and Conditions.
