FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department said witnesses’ descriptions led to the arrest of a juvenile who they believe is responsible for a garage fire on Barr Street Monday morning.

The FWFD said firefighters were called to 2902 Barr Street around 10:20. When firefighters arrived, a detached garage was fully engulfed in flames.

The garage was destroyed and four surrounding homes were also damaged in the fire. No injuries were reported.

Investigators determined at the scene that the fire was intentionally set.

Witnesses told police they saw a suspicious person in the area before the fire.

Police found the suspect on Colerick Street and arrested him after questioning.

FWFD officials said the juvenile will be processed through the Allen County Juvenile Center.
