Man in critical condition after car crash

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) A man is in critical condition after a car crash in Steuben County Friday night.

According to police, the crash happened on County Road 550 West near Orland Road at about 6:30 p.m.

29-year-old Jeremy Maguire was driving a pick-up truck when he went off the road and hit a tree.

Rescue crews got him out in about 20 minutes.

Maguire was flown by helicopter to a Fort Wayne hospital.

Investigators said he wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

They believe alcohol was a factor, but the incident is still under investigation.
