Cows on I- 69 disrupt traffic

Cows on the Interstate

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WANE)– A traffic hazard near mile marker 230 on Interstate 69 southbound just goes to show that the cows do come home.

Southbound traffic on I-69 was slowed when a herd of cows got dangerously close to the interstate.

It happened near mile marker 230 north of Anderson.

Police said they didn’t know how the cows got out, but traffic continued to move slowly as the cows were cleared. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
