FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A former Anthony Wayne Services employee has admitted to abusing a severely mentally handicapped patient back in 2012. Francis Udoh, 54, was sentenced to two years probation on Tuesday.

Udoh pleaded guilty to Neglect of a Dependent after a hidden camera showed him walking into the patient’s room and shoving his legs off the bed rail. Edoh then tossed the patient’s blankets over his head and left the room.

The camera also showed that the patient was unattended for more than six hours and at one point, his diaper had not been changed for more than 13 hours.

Edoh was fired after AWS administrators confronted him about the hidden camera. At the time, he denied failing to check on the patient.

The other man who was allegedly involved in the patient’s neglect was Chukwuemeka Esotu, 26. Esotu’s trial date is set for July. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
