Pedestrian struck outside Price Elementary

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A young man suffered minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle in front of Price Elementary School on West State Boulevard.

City police dispatchers said the boy was hit around 6:30 a.m. His age is unknown, but witnesses on scene said he was not a student at Price.

Three Rivers Ambulance Authority assisted Fort Wayne police on scene. An official with TRAA said the boy stepped in front of the car before being hit. He was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle stopped after the incident and cooperated with police.
