FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  – A trial date has been set for the Fort Wayne man who is facing nine felony charges in connection to a March break-in and robbery.

Lewis Jones’ trial will begin July 15. Jones is accused of being one of two armed men who kicked open the doors of an apartment in the 1200-block of Swinney Avenue on March 25.

According to the police reports, Jones and the other man than forced a woman to tie up her boyfriend and his 12-year-old son with electronics cables and threatened to kill all three. The two men took off with cash, video games, a cell phone, a debit card and a hand gun that belonged to the boyfriend.

An officer responding to the scene saw two men run from the back of the home where they got into a gray Chevy Trailblazer. Police caught Jones but the other man got away. Police also found many of the items that had been stolen from the apartment inside the Trailblazer, which the suspects abandoned in an alley before trying to run away from police.
