NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – Six people were hurt following a two-car crash west of Wolcottville Sunday evening.
Around 7:30 p.m., the Noble County and LaGrange County Sheriff’s Departments said a vehicle driven by Nicholas Slabach, 17, LaGrange. rear-ended a vehicle driven by Steven Hipsher, 59, Fort Wayne.
The impact caused Hipsher’s vehicle to go off the road where it flipped into a field. Slabach’s vehicle continued for another 1/8th mile before coming to a stop, according to investigators.
Police said Slabach was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne with head injuries. Slabach was listed in good condition as of Monday afternoon.
Two passengers, Patrick Stahl, 17, LaGrange, and Dakota Bruce, 15, LaGrange, also complained of pain and sustained head injuries.
Hipsher was also transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center with a head injury. A passenger in Hipsher’s vehicle, Danielle Fleurimond, 50, Fort Wayne, sustained head injuries. Fleurimond was listed in good condition as of Monday afternoon. Another passenger, Brody Burge, 9, Fort Wayne, also complained of pain.
Both vehicles were totaled in as a result of the crash.
