INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – An early morning fire killed one person in Indianapolis on Sunday. The fire occurred near 28th Street and Rader Street.
Family members have identified the victim as 52-year-old Charles Lasley.
IFD arrived on the scene just after midnight and found that the fire had spread to the house next door as well. The occupant of the second house was not home at the time of the fire.
It took firefighters about an hour to get the fire under control.
No working smoke detectors were found in the home. Damage is estimated at $90,000.
The fire remains under investigation.
