Crimestoppers celebrating 30 years with community event

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Crimestoppers of Fort Wayne is celebrating 30 years of helping solve crimes.

Most recently, Crimestoppers helped the Fort Wayne Police Department solve a homicide on April 7.

The organization is hosting a Community Day event to raise funds and thank the public.

Kids can see fire trucks, police cars, take pictures with Komet’s Icy Eagle and jump on an inflatable moon walk. Chicken dinner meals from Andy’s will be available.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  on Saturday, April 26 at JC Automotive.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the following locations.

-New Haven Police Department
