Triple Pointe Church Easter egg hunt

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – More than a dozen Easter-themed events were held in the Fort Wayne area on Saturday, including Easter egg hunts, church shows, and carnivals.

The following is a list of events on Saturday:

Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt – 9 a.m. at Eckhart Park in Auburn. Admission is free.

Resurrection Run 5K and 3K – 9 a.m. at Indian Trails Park, located at 10305 Aboite Center Road. Cost is $20 on race day and $25 per household. Proceeds will benefit St. Michael Lutheran Church’s community charity outreach.

St. Mary’s Church Carnival  – 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church. North Side football players will help with the carnival games and hand out candy.

Grace Presbyterian Church Easter Egg Hunt – 10 a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church, located at 1811 Fairhill Road. The event includes crafts, music, games and snacks.

Albion Lions Easter Egg Hunt – 10 a.m. at the Albion Fire Station, located at 210 Fire Station Drive in Albion.

Triple Pointe Church Easter Egg Hunt – 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Hickory Center Elementary School located at 3606 Baird Road in Fort Wayne. The annual hunt features 10,000 Easter eggs and an appearance from the Easter Bunny. Admission is free.

Level 13 Church Easter Egg Hunt – 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Level 13 Church, located at 8840 St. Joe Road. There will be three separate hunts categorized by age.

Shadarobah Easter Benefit – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Willowbrook Day School, located at 101 West Dupont Road. This fundraiser includes pony rides, Easter egg hunts, egg coloring, games, face painting, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and bake sale goods for sale. Proceeds will benefit the Shadarobah Horse Rescue, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to save horses from slaughter, abuse and neglect.

Honeywell House Easter Egg Hunt – 11:30 a.m. at Honeywell House in Wabash

Easter Bone Hunt – Registration starts at noon, bone hunt starts at 1:30 p.m. at Franke Park. The hunt is sponsored by Happy Dogs Daycare to support pet adoptions at Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control. Dogs can sniff out treat-filled Easter eggs and qualify for prize baskets for $10 per dog. There will also be dog-friendly games, vendors and photos with the Easter Bunny. More prizes are available with raffle tickets to increase funding for homeless animals. For additional information, click here.

Jefferson Pointe’s Free Easter Fun – Noon at Jefferson Pointe Mall. The event includes a petting zoo, photos with the Easter Bunny, face painting, games, and prizes. Admission is free.

Easter Eggstravaganza – Noon at CrossPointe Family Church of the Nazarene, located at 205 Highpointe Crossing in Kendallville. The event features Easter egg hunts by age, carnival games, a bounce house, face painting, and carnival food, including popcorn, elephant ears, and snow cones. The church is also giving away five bikes, two tablets, a week of summer camp, a YMCA membership, toys, baskets and more. Every child who attends will get two weeks of free Karate lessons from Haydens ATA. Admission to the event is free.

Byron Health Center’s Easter Egg Hunt and Earth Day Celebration – 1 to 3 p.m. at the Byron Health Center Campus, located at 12101 Lima Road. The event features an Easter egg hunt, and booths with popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, cookies, face painting and balloon animals. Admission is free.

Leo United Methodist Church Preschool’s Easter Egg Hunt – 2 p.m. at Leo United Methodist Church Preschool, located at 13527 Leo Road. The event features video, songs, crafts, cookies, and an Easter egg hunt for children ages three years old to third grade. Admission is free.

Spring Flings & Easter Things – 2 p.m. at The Chandler House, located at 2879 S. Lima Road in Kendallville. Refreshments will be served and admission is free.

Abundant Life Church presents Messiah – 7 p.m. show at Abundant Life Church, located at 3301 E. Coliseum Boulevard.  The musical production features a cast of nearly 150 people. It depicts the life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. Click here for tickets.

Easter Vigil Mass – 9 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne.
