FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A man who was carrying a one-pot meth lab along Goshen Road dropped it and ran after police tried to stop him, according to court documents.

Police said they saw Cory Kryder, 40, of Fort Wayne, who had a warrant out for his arrest, walking on Goshen, near Independence Drive, on April 11. When police attempted to stop him, Kryder immediately dropped something he was holding and ran.

Officers were able to tackle Kryder and arrest him without further incident.

When police looked for the item Kryder dropped, they found a one-pot meth lab in a 24-ounce plastic bottle about 10 feet from the road.

According to court documents, Kryder told police the meth lab “was his and was a dud.”

Kryder is facing the following charges:

  • Dealing Methamphetamine-Manufactures
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Resisting Law Enforcement

As of Thursday, Kryder was listed in the Allen County Jail.
