FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A Fort Wayne man met a 10-year-old girl from New York on an online dating site and sent her naked pictures, according to court documents. Police said the investigation began in July of 2013 after the girl’s mom saw a conversation between her daughter and 24-year-old William R. Brockhaus and called New York State Police.

According to an affidavit for probable cause, Brockhaus and the girl starting talking through an online dating site called meet24.com. The victim was registered on the site as being 15 years old. Police said she used an iPod to communicate with Brockhaus.

Police said Brockhaus sent the victim three pictures of his penis. The two also discussed sex, according to the chat logs.

During an interview with police, Brockhaus admitted to sending the pictures. He told police “he would never do it again.”

Brockhaus told police he didn’t know the victim’s age and had never seen or met her.

According to court documents, Brockhaus is facing a felony Child Solicitation charge and a felony Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors charge.

As of Thursday, Brockhaus was listed in the Allen County Jail.
