BLUFFTON, Ind. (WANE) – After five seasons as the head football coach at Columbia City Randy Hudgins is heading to Bluffton to lead the Tigers football program.
“It is bittersweet,” Hudgins told WANE-TV on Monday night. “It’s been an honor and a privilege to be at part of the Columbia City community over the last five years. But I am looking forward to the opportunity to build on what Casey Kolkman’s built at Bluffton.”
Hudgins went 28-27 in Columbia City. His best season with the Eagles came in 2010 when Columbia City went 10-2 and earned a share of the NHC title.
Kolkman stepped down from the position in January. He went 17-25 in four seasons leading the Tigers.
“It is a great opportunity for my family, and, at the end of the day, that’s what’s most important,” said Hudgins.
Hudgins will teach strength and conditioning in the physical education department at Bluffton.
