Bishop Luers graduate Kevin Kiermaier is getting another shot at the big leagues.
On Thursday the Tampa Bay Rays recalled Kiermaier from Triple-A Durham. Kiermaier was off to a strong start with the Bulls. The outfielder was hitting .310 with two home runs, a triple, and seven RBI in seven games so far this season.
Kiermaier made his MLB debut last season in game 163 for the Rays as a defensive replacement. He also came in for defensive purposes in Tampa’s playoff game with Cleveland.
