Police investigate Burger Dairy armed robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at Jerry’s Burger Dairy late Wednesday night.

Police were called around 11 p.m. to the gas station at Lower Huntington Road and Winchester Road.

Police said a woman went inside the store with a gun and demanded cash.

Officers said surveillance video showed a man and woman approach the back of the gas station on foot. The man waited outside while the woman went into the building.

The gas station’s owner submitted photos to NewsChannel 15 that shows a women in a white shirt enter the store with her face covered and what appears to be a handgun in her left hand.

Investigators have not said how much money the woman got away with.

No injuries were reported.

A K-9 officer was used to try and track the suspect. It’s unknown if the two individuals walked away or eventually got into a car a left the area.

Anyone with information on the suspect or robbery should call police or Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP.

The incident remains under investigation.
