FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Lima Road, between Coliseum Boulevard and Dalgren Avenue, starting Friday. These restrictions will last until mid-June, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT).

INDOT said the southbound lanes of Lima Road will be restricted and traffic will be shifted to the west side of the road.

The southbound lane restriction is expected to last until mid-to-late June, weather permitting, as crews work to resurface the southbound lanes. After this phase is completed, the traffic restriction will be reversed as crews work on the northbound lanes. During this time work will also be occurring on signal heads, traffic markings, curbs, gutters, and storm sewers.

This work is part of the US 27/Lima Road asphalt resurface project. Officials said the entire project should be done by fall of 2014. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
