USF Performing Arts Center gets new name

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)   The University of Saint Francis’s Performing Arts Center will now be called The Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center.

A recent foundation gift from the Goldstine Foundation will go toward $1 million worth of enhancements to the center.

Campus officials said the gift celebrates the long-standing relationship between Robert Goldstine and the university.

“Robert Goldstine is a great friend of the university, so to have this facility, the University of Saint Francis Performing Arts Center named in his honor is very appropriate in many ways- his interest in historic development, his interest in the university, and higher education, ” said Sister Elise Kriss, USF President.

Campus officials expect to start the renovations and remodeling in early 2015.
