FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  An apparent victim in a shooting and car crash ran away after two men came after him on Wednesday afternoon, according to a police report on the incident.

When police were called to the scene after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, they saw the SUV near a basketball court in the apartment complex. It had a damaged windshield and other body damage that indicated it had been in a crash.

The passenger of the SUV told police she and her brother drove to Fort Wayne and stopped by an apartment in the 7900- block of Serenity Drive.

She said her brother went into an apartment and when he came back out, two men followed him and started shooting.

She said her brother got back in the SUV, took off and eventually flipped it. She said her brother then ran away with the two men chasing after him.

According to the police report, there were several people standing around when police were there but nobody said they had seen the crash. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
