FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne police are investigating two separate incidents involving gunshots on the city’s south side.

Shortly before 10 p.m., police were dispatched to the Carriage House Apartments, 2445 Fairfield Avenue. Police said several gunshots were fired inside the building, but it didn’t appear anyone was injured.

About five minutes later, police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Warsaw Street after receiving a call that a man had been shot in the leg. Police said he was taken to the hospital by ambulance with non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators on Warsaw Street said they did not know if the man injured on Warsaw Street was from the Carriage House Apartments.

Detectives were still trying to piece together details early Thursday morning.

It’s unclear if there are any suspects.

Both incidents remain under investigation
