INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 16-year-old has been arrested in connection to the murder of Nathan Trapuzzano, the man who went for a walk on the west side and was attacked.

24-year old Nathan Trapuzzano was shot and killed on April 2 while out for his morning walk. Detectives believed he had been targeted for a robbery. The community rallied to raise more than $100,000 for family family. His wife was expecting their first child.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials said the 16-year-old was shot the same day Trapuzzano was killed. He’s also suspected in a March 30 aggravated assault case. He was being held Tuesday at the Juvenile Detention Center.

The Marion County prosecutor’s office planned an afternoon news conference about a murder arrest, though it wasn’t clear if it was connected to the Trapuzzano’s case.
