TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) – Two young boys are dead after they were pulled from a fully engulfed house fire in Tippecanoe County Saturday morning, according to WANE’s sister station, WLFI.

The fire happened at a home on Brandy Kay Court, near State Road 38, just before 11 a.m. According to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, several officers were able to pull out three-year-old twins Landon Tyler Abbott and Liam Cecil Abbot from the home.

The twins were transported to St. Elizabeth East and IU Arnett hospitals where they were later pronounced dead.

The twins’ father, Brandon L. Abbott and another woman, Nicole L. Thomas, were also at the home at the time of the fire but were able to get out of the home by themselves. Thomas was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis where she was treated for burns and smoke inhalation. The boys’ mother was not at the scene.

The Indiana State Fire Marshall’s Office, along with the Tippecanoe County Arson, Coroner, and sheriff’s office are looking into the cause of the fire. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
