FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) – According to reports, just 24 hours after being named the Hugh Durham National Coach of the Year, IPFW head coach Tony Jasick has met with officials from Jacksonville University while in Texas at the Final Four. ESPN is also reporting that Jasick is considered the front runner for the head coaching vacancy at JU after the Dolphins fired Cliff Warren last month.

Jasick is fresh off leading IPFW to it’s most successful season ever, a season that included a program record 25 wins, the teams first Division 1 postseason appearance and subsequently its first postseason win. The Dons also reached the Summit League Championship game for the first time in program history.

The Dolphins meanwhile are coming off a 12-18 season that included a 7th place finish in the Atlantic Sun Conference with an 8-10 mark.

UPDATE: According to reports, Jasick will meet with school officials in Jacksonville on Monday for a second round of interviews. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
