NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) –  A LaOtto man died in a single-car crash Friday night after his car rolled three times and landed in a flooded field, according to police.

Indiana State Police said Gerald Quinn, 49, was driving southbound on County Road 600 East when he crossed the centerline and went off the east side of the road. His vehicle went down an embankment and rolled three times before coming to rest on its top in a flooded area of a field. Police said the vehicle and Quinn were submerged in the water.

EMS crews got Quinn out of the vehicle and gave him CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe Quinn was speeding at the time of the crash. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
