Ron Howard

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Mr. Mad Ant Ron Howard joined WANE’s Joe Whelan live at 6 p.m. on Friday to preview Fort Wayne’s regular season finale and talk about becoming the NBDL’s all-time leading scorer.

Howard passed Renaldo Major’s previous NBDL record of 4,252 points on Saturday during a win over Springfield. Howard tallied 20 points in the game to end the night with a total of 4,261. Howard added 19 at Maine on Monday and 21 versus Maine on Thursday to enter tonight’s game with a total of 4,301 points.

The Ants play their final game of the regular season tonight at 7:30 p.m. against Los Angeles. A win by Fort Wayne and the Ants would secure the best regular season record in the D-League and clinch the no. 1 overall seed in the playoffs.

The Ants are 33-16 on the season heading into tonight’s game. The 33 wins are already a franchise record and the team has clinched its first East Division championship. provides commenting on many stories to allow for constructive discussion.
