FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Komets will launch a stretch of four games in five nights tonight when the Cincinnati Cyclones visit for a 7pm faceoff at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
The tight battle for playoff position continues as the Komets hold the eighth and final seed in the Eastern Conference, leading ninth-place Florida by a slim point and trailing seventh-place Wheeling by four points. Florida and Wheeling also have games tonight as seven games are on tap in the ECHL.
The conference rival Cyclones trail first-place Reading by seven points. The Komets are 4-0-2 after six meetings with Cincy but 0-0-2 after two games in Fort Wayne this season. The Cyclones split a pair of games at Florida over the weekend and are 5-2-0 in their last seven outings.
