Komets net 7 goals in win at South Carolina

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Komets continued to improve their chance at a playoff spot Friday night, with a 7-4 win at South Carolina.

The game was the first match-up between the two teams this season.

The Komets had a four-goal fourth period.  On the night, Brandon Marino and Aaron Clarke each scored two goals.

The win keeps the team in the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.  The Komets have a two point lead over Florida.

The Komets and Stingrays drop the puck Saturday night at 7:05.
