Police: Stolen truck found in Fort Wayne

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – After an elderly couple was tied up for hours by two intruders in the early morning hours on Friday, police began a search for the truck the suspects took off in. Around 4 p.m., police notified media that the truck had been found in Fort Wayne. 

According to the press release from the Noble County Sheriff’s Department, two people broke into the home at the 8100-block of E 200 S LaOtto in Noble County around midnight. The two men were armed and woke up the couple in the home. After tying them up, the two intruders ransacked the home.

The two men stayed in the house for hours and eventually left in the victims’ pickup truck. The couple was able to untie themselves shortly after that. They went to a neighbor’s house and called police just after 7:30 a.m. on Friday morning.

Police alerted media in the morning that they were looking for a  red 2002 Ford F-150 with an extended cab. They alerted media around 4 p.m that the truck had been found in Fort Wayne but did not provide any more new information.

The couple described the suspects as white men, one is about 6′ tall and the other 5’8.” Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
