Man accused of stealing $133K in supplies from business

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)   A Fort Wayne man was arrested on Wednesday for the theft of $133,000 worth of supplies, tools and equipment from a Kendallville business.

Kendallville police were called to Creative Liquid Coatings in Kendallville on Wednesday and, after investigating, issued a search warrant for the home of company employee Joseph Barone in the 600-block of Fallen Timbers Trail in Fort Wayne.

About $133,000 in supplies, tools and equipment belonging to Creative Liquid Coatings was found in the home. Barone was arrested and taken to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department where he was held without bond until the case could be reviewed by the Noble County Prosecutor’s Office. The police report indicates the thefts happened from November 2013 to March 2014.

The Kendallville Police were assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department.

The police report on the theft and subsequent arrest does not provide any more details.
