INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy is sharing his thoughts online about team owner Jim Irsay’s recent arrest.
Dungy released a video on his YouTube page where he offered a message of support.
“I was stunned just like everyone else with the news that my former boss Jim Irsay, the owner and president of the Indianapolis Colts, was stopped with prescription drugs in the car and operating a vehicle under the influence, and to me it just goes to show that no matter where you are in life that can happen,” Dungy said. “My best wishes, my prayers go out to Jim Irsay. I know he’s in a treatment center. He’s been battling this for a while.”
Dungy went on to talk about Irsay’s character.
“Jim is a great man and he’s done a lot for not only me but for the city of Indianapolis and the Colts organization,” he said. “He’s got a great heart. My prayer is that he can overcome this, win this battle.”
Jim Irsay’s daughter Carlie is in charge of the Colts right now.
