FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The IPFW Global Health Initiative 5K is being held Sunday at Gates Sports Fieldhouse. The money raised from the event will help cover ten students’ travel costs for a medical and humanitarian trip to the San Lorenzo Clinic in San Lorenzo, Ecuador.

Registration for the race is $20 per person and $15 dollars for groups of four or more on Sunday. Participants will receive a T-shirt and prizes will be given out to the top finishers.

Global Health Initiative is a group of IPFW students that seeks to address global concerns in the unequal distribution of healthcare among those living in poverty, both around the world and in the community.
