Minor injuries in Friday afternoon shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  A shooting at the  2200-block of Oliver Street has left one person with minor injuries. The shooting happened around 4 p.m. on Friday.

Police on the scene told NewsChannel 15 one man was shot in the ankle. A person in police custody apparently claimed the shooting was done in self defense.

The NewsChannel 15 crew on the scene said nine police cruisers could be seen on Oliver Street before 5 p.m.
