HSBB: Homestead Readies For First Semi-State Appearance

FORT WAYNE, IN. (WANE) – As successful of a program as Homestead has been in recent history – the team finds itself in unfamiliar territory. The Spartans will meet #8 Lake Central Saturday afternoon in 4A semi-state at Lafayette Jefferson High School.

Homestead is riding a five-game winning streak that includes a win over #3 Hamilton Southeastern in last weekend’s regional championship game. While sophomore sensation Caleb Swanigan has been garnering the headlines with his brilliant play, the Spartans have gotten contributions across the board and know they will need to continue to do so in order to advance to next weeks 4a state championship game.

Tip-off between Homestead and Lake Central is set for approximately 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
