WBB: IPFW Knocked Out Of WBI By UIC

CHICAGO (WANE) – The IPFW women’s basketball program saw its second postseason tournament appearance end in the first round of the Women’s Basketball Invitational as the Mastodons lost at the Unviersity of Illinois at Chicago 84-71.

IPFW led 41-35 at the break, but UIC opened the second half with a 12-0 run and never looked back.

Playing in her final game senior Amanda Hyde led the Dons with 25 points. Freshman Ariana Simmons of South Side high school racked up her first career double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Chris Paul and the IPFW women finish the year with a 15-15 overall record.
