Komets Goalie Makarov Recalled To AHL


FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Goaltender Andrey Makarov has been recalled by the Rochester Americans of the AHL.  The rookie netminder was assigned to Fort Wayne by Buffalo of the NHL through Rochester Oct. 31.

Makarov (15-11-4) has made his pro debut this season with the Komets posting a 2.79 goals-against average and .906 save percentage in 31 appearances to date.

Rochester’s next game is Friday at Lake Erie.

The Komets are slated for four games in five nights this week.  A stretch of three home games in four nights begins Wednesday when the Komets face the Orlando Solar Bears at 7pm at the Memorial Coliseum.
Friday the Komets host Gwinnett at 8pm and Saturday Kalamazoo visits for a 7:30pm faceoff.

Sunday the Komets cap the busy week with a 3pm matinee at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo.
