FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The League for the Blind and Disabled is helping raise awareness about people with disabilities.
March is National Disability Awareness month which brings attention to the topic and promotes independence and integration of people with disabilities.
The Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities leads the campaign.
The 2014 theme is “Dream to Dare” about how people can improve and revitalize their communities.
This is the 24th year for Disability Awareness Month.
