MBB: Purdue’s Ronnie Johnson To Transfer

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN. (WANE) – Purdue head coach Matt Painter announced Saturday that starting point guard Ronnie Johnson will transfer out of the program.

A two-year starter, Johnson averaged just under 11 points and four assists per game for an underachieving Boilermaker team this season. His older brother Terone – a senior – concluded his career with the team on Thursday with a loss to Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament. Following that game, when asked by reporters if he was planning on returning to Purdue, Ronnie Johnson said yes.

Johnson’s future destination or his list of potential schools is unknown at this time.
