Molesting conviction gets former pastor 40 years

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)   An Allen County judge sentenced James J. Burton to 40 years in prison for molesting a young girl who was a foster child in his care from 2009 to early 2012.  A jury convicted Burton on two counts of child molesting in February.

Burton was a pastor at the Greater Faith Baptist Church in Fort Wayne at the time of his arrest in 2013.

The girl is now 10-years-old.
